Products tailored for international air navigation systems

The combination of our industry experience and trusted partners has been the foundation for development of cost-effective and high-quality products - delivered all around the world.

Our products is continously improving along with identified needs and clients request - allowing us to innovate and optimize. The products are carefully designed to meet the strict aviation safety standards and to ensure compliancy with ICAO recommendations. Our manufacturers comply with the highest industry requirements and international quality standards.

DVOR Counterpoise

Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range (VOR) Counterpoise is designed with the purpose to reflect electromagnetic waves transmitted from CVOR and DVOR antennas. This type of navigational system is used for both short-range radio navigation and long-range radio navigation.

The Standard Counterpoise designed by AviNeering offers several unique features that saves cost and installation time. The counterpoise is designed with strong construction of galvanised steel with few parts, providing seamless maintenance and longer lifespan compared to counterpoises with high number of parts. Hollow profiles as been designed to be used as cable ducting and to provide antenna positions and adjustments – which protects the cables and improves the appearance of the counterpoise.

We have experience delivering a large number of counterpoises all around the world, including full installation on-site by our engineers.

NavAid Equipment Shelter

Shelters are equipment buildings designed to be installed in any environmental conditions. AviNeering has designed and installed many different constructions with a variety of dimensions, layout and equipment to meet our customer needs and requirements.

The shelter layout is optimized for the type of equipment that will be installed. Cable routing in the floor, walls and roof will be constructed as best suitable for the systems and end customer requirement.

Throughout the years, AviNeering has established close relationships with suppliers to optimize the shelter design and materials used. Besides delivering standard equipment shelters, we also provide the following options to be included:

·       Fire Detection and Suppression System

·       Advanced Electrical System

·       Cable Sealing

In addition to the traditional Navaid Equipment Shelter we have designed unique type of shelters:

Shelter Solar Energy System

The Shelter Solar Energy System offers a green and more energy dependent solution to the customer. It is powered with the use of solar energy with solar panels installed on the roof or at the ground. The Solar System is prefabricated which provides fast and efficient installation on-site.

The biggest energy consumer in a solar powered shelter is the air conditioning units. To tackle this, we have designed a “super Insulated” Shelter which reduces the need for cooling and energy required for the air conditioning substantially. Airports located at places with extreme heat conditions and low power consumption will benefit from our super insulated shelter design.

Sub-Terrain Equipment Shelter

The increasing volume of air traffic movements requires airports around the world to optimize its performance while reducing the number of obstacles in the vicinity of the runway, as recommended by ICAO.

The Sub-Terrain Equipment shelter designed by AviNeering is a prefabricated construction that is installed below ground – removing any obstruction issues.

Field Measurement System

Flexible measurement unit - reduced runway occupancy time

AviNeering has developed The NavAid Maintenance Unit; an on-the-ground maintenance unit capable of accurately measuring signal in space using a 23-meter-high telescope mast attached to a mobile ground vehicle. This is designed to provide the air navigation staff on the ground extended tools to measure the localizer and glide path signal distribution.

One of the benefits of this product is that it reduces the runway occupancy significantly. At airports where runway occupancy has high cost, a tool such as the NavAid Maintenance Unit is invaluable for keeping the cost a minimum. In addition, unforeseen complaints or reports from pilots may quickly be investigated.

Periodic measurements on air navigational aids will improve the reliability

During installation and commissioning it is advantagous to do detailed field measurements. This is also neccessary to repeat periodically as part of the maintenance. A field measurement system is ideal for proper repeatable measurements.

Training Simulator

To provide added value to practical training, a training simulator can be used to perform exercises on navigation systems with simulated faults and phenomenon. This simulator is designed to be particularly helpful to those with a basic and/or master-level technical qualification degree as well as maintenance of those skills. For instance, ground maintenance operators or flight inspector operators are perfect candidates for the Training Simulator.

The Training Simulator is designed for training and maintenance of the following NavAids:

  • ILS – Localizer and Glide Path

  • VOR – Conventional and Doppler (CVOR and DVOR)

  • DME
